Our Leadership

Leo Lopez

I’ve been living in Taipei since 2010, teaching math at a local international school. The moment I walked into the Pearl, it just felt like home. I love the authentic community that is serious about living life together with God at the center. Recently, I’ve been serving in a speaking and teaching role and it’s been a pleasure to share the word with the Pearl family! leo@thepearlintaipei.com

Since moving to Taipei for work in 2005, The Pearl has been a home away from home for me. God has called me to be an active member in our congregation, as I serve regularly on the worship team, as well as hosting men’s small group and other fellowship activities. I believe our church has been blessed with a diversity of gifts, and it’s the many parts in one body (1 Cor 12) that allow us to be a light to people around us. victor@thepearlintaipei.com

I’ve lived in Taipei since 2004 when I began my career in education, and I’ve been at the Pearl since it began as an informal small group. Since then I have had the privilege of playing for the worship team and organizing the music for Sunday services and special events. I’m married to Alison, who teaches at Morrison Academy Bethany Campus. We look forward to our future in Taiwan and the future of things to come at the Pearl. nick@thepearlintaipei.com

I’ve been attending The Pearl since 2006. I had the opportunity to know God when I studied abroad in LA, which eventually led me to The Pearl when I moved back to Taiwan. Unlike most of our congregation who are expats, I was born and raised in Taiwan. Coming from a non-Christian family, I’ve learned to really appreciate this other family I have in Christ. The first time I came to The Pearl, I found a sense of community that I’ve never experienced elsewhere before. I love the genuineness of people and their passion and love for God. It is a place where we can freely worship and grow in our own walk with Christ. Currently, I’m serving on the music team and helping to facilitate women’s small group.

I came to Taipei and began attending The Pearl in 2005. I was drawn to the family-like atmosphere of The Pearl. There is a realness among the people here, and I appreciate being in the midst of those who are openly and honestly seeking Christ in their everyday lives. I enjoy serving in women’s and children’s ministries, as well as helping with the maintenance and cleaning of the church facilities.
