Pastor: Chris McKenzie I’m here in Taipei with my wife, Nevada and two beautiful children, Gemma & Guinness. We’ve moved here from Canada to follow God’s call on our lives. My role in our church began as a support to the Pearl’s founder and first pastor, Dan Chang. My main job was to add some creative elements into the mix, to help us do outside-the-box ministry and to help the Pearl with whatever it needed. Since Dan left in 2007, I have grown into the role of full-time pastor of this vibrant group. I love having the chance to push the boundaries of normal church and to reach out to all types of people that come to the Pearl. I’m looking forward to the next couple of years as we continue to move into maturity and ownership. Worship Director: Nick Su I’ve lived in Taipei since 2004 when I began my career in education, and I’ve been at the Pearl since it began as an informal small group. Since then I have had the privilege of playing for the worship team and organizing the music for Sunday services and special events. I’m married to Alison, who teaches at Morrison Academy Bethany Campus. We look forward to our future in Taiwan and the future of things to come at the Pearl. |
