The Pearl will be turning 3 very soon and we’re ready to celebrate! We’ll be having our annual Anniversary Party on December 1st at 7:30pm. Details are still being worked out but it will be a lot of fun and you won’t want to miss it. Pencil it into your schedule and bring some money to church to buy a ticket. Pass the word on to all of your friends who are or have been a part of the Pearl. Let’s make it a doozie! 

This Saturday Oct 27 at 7pm we’ll be getting together at the new ministry center/office to pray, worship and hang out. We want to come together as a community to celebrate this new phase at the Pearl. This ministry center will be a home for many activities in the future and a place where God’s work will be done. Due to the typhoon that will be hitting Taiwan this weekend we have decided to postpone the work day until Wednesday Oct. 10.

Our very own Jared Duxfield has stepped up to organize a work day at our new office space. The goal is to get some cleaning and painting done so that we can move in officially in early/mid October. If you can help out for a couple of hours on Wednesday Oct 10 that would be great! The plan is to work from 10am until it’s finished, with drink/meal breaks of course. It’ll be a fun time and a great chance to bond while serving. The office is located on Guling Street close to the church. From the church walk west on Heping and turn left at the end of the block. Stay on the left side of the road, walk past the sandwich shop on the corner. Our space is on the second floor above a business with 101 in its name. Give Jared a call for more details (0910803400).

If you want to help put together a scrapbook for Lim please join us at Andy and Audrey Wu’s house on Wednesday, Aug 22 at 7pm. The book and pages will be supplied but we need you to bring pictures, stickers, fancy scrapbooking stuff etc. This is an event for everyone who wants to show some love to Lim (not just women). Lydia has been praying about what we should focus on this summer at the Pearl. It became clear that God put it on her heart to focus on the spiritual disciplines of Prayer and Bible Study. There will be several people speaking this summer: Lydia, Campbell, Haydee, Dr. Timothy Chang (Dan’s Dad) and maybe a couple of others. It should be an awesome time for us to work on these disciplines that will help us grow stronger in our knowledge of God and connection to God.

Please join us this Sunday, April 29th as we celebrate the founder and pastor of the Pearl In Taipei.
